DIVERTED stormwater is set to be used to revitalise GR Bricker Reserve. Last week Kingston Council confirmed that Entracon Civil Pty Ltd had been contracted to undertake stage one of the project at the Moorabbin park. The first stage will include diverting stormwater from a main drain servicing a 205-hectare catchment, installing a pump station, and constructing new drainage pipes, pits, and a vegetated filter basin. A PROJECT to improve water quality in Frankston South has been completed. South East Water has installed a new floating cover and dewatering system at the Rosedale Grove basin. The water storage cover is designed to improve water quality by reducing sunlight exposure, preventing algal growth and limiting evaporation. South East Water is also planning to upgrade the floating cover at its Eliza Drive basin in Mount Eliza. An alleged serial car thief has been hit with more than 60 charges after using third party electronic key reprogramming devices to steal at least 25 cars across Melbourne. The alleged thefts occurred across Melbourne’s east and southeast from Malvern East, Hawthorn, Clayton, Pakenham, Ferntree Gully, Frankston, Narre Warren to Bayswater between September and January this year. Police will allege the thief used key mimicking tools to access, reprogram and steal vehicles parked in train station carparks. Some were also stolen from residential driveways and streets.
