CARRUM Downs police are “hoping to speak” to a man who was caught driving with a cancelled registration plate. The man pulled into a service station on Frankston-Dandenong Road at around 10.45am on 27 March in a white Holden Commodore, registration OUG134. Police allege they approached the man, but he ran back to his car and accelerated heavily, causing the car to “fishtail” and narrowly miss police members. A “DANGEROUS” dog has been seized by Frankston Council after an attack on a smaller dog and its owner that left both in need of medical treatment. The female dog was seized from a Langwarrin property and declared a dangerous dog. Council are also looking for a male dog in relation to the attack. The accused owner of the “dangerous” dogs was fined $5000 and ordered to pay costs to council and to the attacked owner to pay for medical and vet expenses. DRUGS, cash, and electronic devices were seized by police from a house in Edithvale on 28 March. A warrant was executed at the property as part of an “ongoing” drug trafficking investigation. Moorabbin Frontline Tactical unit members entered the Lochiel Avenue property at around 4.40am and arrested two people. Two Edithvale men, aged 23 and 24, were charged with trafficking ketamine, trafficking cocaine, trafficking methylamphetamine, trafficking prescription drugs and dealing with property suspected of being proceeds of crime. THE doors of the Moorabbin Meals on Wheels service are set to close, with the service to be run exclusively from Bonbeach from 1 July onwards. The mayor Cr Georgina Oxley said the service needed to be consolidated because the Moorabbin site had not been updated in “many years”. “Kingston was proud to invest in a new purpose built delivered meals kitchen which opened in Bonbeach in late 2015. POLICE are investigating the assault of two cyclists who were struck on the back of the head by someone riding in a Holden Commodore on Cranbourne – Frankston Road, 19 March. The father and son were riding their bikes near Peninsula Link at around 4.15pm when they were struck by a passenger of the Holden Commodore with an unknown object.
