TRANSIT detectives are investigating the attempted robbery of items belonging to a 55-year-old man who boarded a Frankston-bound train at Richmond station, 1.18am, 4 August last year. They have released this image of a man, pictured, seen getting off the train at Kananook station who may be able to assist with their inquiries. He was last seen walking towards the Frankston CBD. THE Liberal Party have confirmed their candidate for Isaacs in the upcoming federal election. Jeremy Hearn was preselected last week to stand as the candidate. He was named as a nominee in the Higgins preselection process as well, but ultimately was not chosen to replace outgoing Liberal MP Kelly O’Dwyer. The Age last month reported that the fee for applying for preselection had been cut to $250 in a number of Victorian seats, including Isaacs. MAJOR works are underway to refurbish the Dingley Village Library and Harold Box Hall. The library will be shut during 2019 while works are completed on the $5 million upgrades. “Our community will enjoy fantastic new community facilities. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man in relation to the alleged traveling conmen scams in the Seaford area. The 26-year-old Irish national has been charged with obtaining property by deception and stating a false name. He has been charged in relation to allegations he was offering trade services under a false business name. He has been remanded to appear in Frankston Magistrates’ Court.
