Investigators from Kingston Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance to identify a burglar following a break-in at a home in Carrum on Friday 31 January. Police believe a man has walked into the front yard of the Church Road home about 12.45pm . The offender knocked at the front door before walking to the side of the house and breaking a window to gain entry. The man rummaged through drawers before leaving. CRIME Investigation Unit detectives have charged two people after alleged firearms incidents on 11 February. Police allege that a number of shots were fired in St Kilda at around 1am, and then a “number”of shots were also allegedly fired into a garage on Corrigan Street, Cheltenham at 10.30am. A 39-year-old Cheltenham man was arrested and charged with conduct endangering life, criminal damage, prohibited person possess firearm and other firearm related offences. A MAN has been arrested after striking a parked car in Carrum Downs, 9 February. Police said the 53-year-old Clyde North Man had his vehicle impounded for a month at a cost of $1280 and had his license suspended after being spotted driving in an “erratic” manner on Baxter Tooradin Road at around 9.40pm. Police approached the vehicle and said there was significant damage to the front of the van. Police said he had struck the car in Carrum Downs roughly an hour earlier.
