A 44-YEAR-old Frankston man has been charged after allegedly committing a random attack armed with molotov cocktails in Seaford, 17 January. The man allegedly broke into a garage on Rosland Street at around 10am, and used items found inside to construct three molotov cocktails, which are as flammable projectiles. The man then allegedly tossed the cocktails over the fence onto another property. Some damage was caused to the car and driveway at the property which the cocktails were allegedly thrown onto. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a further three teenage girls following two alleged robberies in Frankston last month. In the first incident, a 20-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted and robbed outside a Ross Smith Avenue shopping centre about 2.45pm on 14 December. In the second incident two, aged 16 and 17, were allegedly assaulted and robbed on Ross Smith Lane on 18 December. Two 13-year-old Flemington girls and a 14-year-old Avondale Heights girl, were arrested on Monday. One Flemington girl was charged with robbery in relation to both incidents. A DRIVER has fled the scene of a three vehicle crash that took place on the Nepean Highway in Mordialloc a little after 8am, 8 January. Police said the nose to tail collision occurred at 8.08am on Nepean Highway, Mordialloc. Police said the “offending vehicle” was a black Kia Cerato. That car was towed from the scene, and the offending driver left the scene on foot. They have yet to be identified. BOAT owners using Port Phillip and Western Port are being asked to make sure they are not spreading marine pests that can “cause significant harm to the health of marine ecosystems”.
