CARRUM Bowls Club has received $200,000 from the state government for the construction of female friendly facilities. Labor MPs John Eren and Sonya Kilkenny visited the club to announce the funding, which will be drawn from the state government’s 2018-19 Female Friendly Facilities Fund. Police have arrested Caleb Pavlovic who was wanted on warrant after he allegedly escaped from the Frankston Magistrates’ Court yesterday (23 October). The 20-year-old Hastings man had been remanded in custody and was awaiting transfer from court when he allegedly ran from the court complex about 4pm. Pavlovic was arrested in Hastings just before 1am on Tuesday 24 October.
Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Caleb Pavlovic. A warrant has been issued for the 20-year-old’s arrest after he escaped from Frankston Magistrates’ Court this afternoon. THE Southern Peninsula ‘Peninsula Dental Care’ Tournament kicks off on Saturday 17 November with close to 450 basketball teams set to compete across the weekend. Heading into its 32nd year, the Southern Peninsula Tournament will be run across venues from Rosebud through to Frankston with in excess of 12,000 visitors expected to attend the days. BASEBALL pitcher Jackson Boyd, of Langwarrin, will represent Australia in the under-23s Baseball World Cup in Columbia on Saturday 20 October. The soon-to-be 19-year-old will join an Australian contingent of 24 players and compete against 12 international teams for World Cup glory. Boyd was chosen from his past performances, most notably being the under-18s Baseball World Cup in Canada last year where his side finished just outside of the top three.
