DREDGING works will commence this week around the entrance of Mordialloc Creek in order to provide safer access for boats. TWO security staff were badly injured in a brawl at The Sands Hotel, Carrum Downs, Saturday 25 August. Detective Senior Constable Darren Paxton, of Frankston police, said three men and one woman were being ejected at about 1.40am when one of the men punched a guard, knocking him out. DRIVERS unsure how to correctly turn left from Coolart Road into Frankston-Flinders Road heading towards Peninsula Link and Frankston are causing problems, police say. To solve the problem they must use the dedicated merging lane – but some are incorrectly stopping at the give-way sign, causing traffic on Coolart Road to bank back from the intersection.
