MCCLELLAND Gallery chair Simon Crean has died. Crean, a former leader of the Labor Party, passed away in Germany on 25 June. He was 74 years old. Crean was appointed chair of the McClelland Gallery board in April of 2022. He joined the board the year prior. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman found in Frankston overnight. Her body was sighted by a passer-by drifting in the water near Frankston Pier about 8.45pm. Officers and police Air Wing responded and located the woman, perceived to be of Asian appearance, who was pulled from the water. She is yet to be identified and the cause of death is yet to be determined. Investigators are keen to speak to anyone in the area with CCTV that may capture the woman’s movements prior to the incident. At this stage, the death is not being treated…

Adam Brooks is a 13-year veteran of the Australian professional wrestling scene. He is packing his bags for Japan to make his debut for Pro Wrestling NOAH, one of the country’s biggest wrestling companies. AN app to help Kingston residents remember which bin is due to be picked up each night has been released. “Binston” has been developed by Kingston Council. It features a customised bin pickup schedule and tips on how to best dispose of household waste. It also contains links to other services such as hard rubbish collection. Through his photography, his audience can see through his eyes and illuminate the subject. Johnson won the Frankston Arts Centre’s 2022 open exhibition, earning him his own exhibition. The exhibition, titled Your Eyes. My Heart, is now open. The new exhibition will feature photos taken in Johnson’s birthplace, the Northern Territory.
