ELECTRIC Fields and The Black Sorrows are set to headline this year’s Mordialloc Food, Wine and Music Festival, which will take place this Saturday and Sunday (3-4 March) at Peter Scullin Reserve. A JET ski rider died after falling into the Patterson River, Carrum on Monday 26 February. Police said a report will be prepared for the coroner after the man’s body was found, 6pm, to try to determine the cause of death. Emergency services crews responded to the incident and recovered the body. The Coast Guard later pulled a jet ski from the river. POWER tools valued at $4050 were stolen from builders working on a pavilion at Mordialloc Football Netball Club, McDonald Street, Mordialloc, overnight, Tuesday 20 February. Police recovered some of the stolen tools near a fence where the burglars may have been loading them into a getaway car. BAKERY workers alerted police after hearing a loud bang and seeing a four-wheel-drive being reversed through the front glass window of a charcoal chicken shop in Centre-Dandenong Road, Dingley, 5am, Thursday 22 February. A laptop and a boom box were stolen from the shop. The raid also extensively damaged the front windows of an adjoining ice cream shop and a body care shop. The three premises had to be security-shuttered afterwards.
