TEENAGE car thieves – some as young as 13 – have been arrested by Frankston detectives after more than 10 cars were broken into in Langwarrin last week and a stolen car was driven at a resident. The teens, riding in a Holden Commodore stolen from outside a Cranbourne house, 1am, Wednesday 11 January, were allegedly involved in a “lengthy high-speed pursuit” with police before escaping and linking up with a stolen Holden utility in Dunsterville Cr, Frankston, soon after. Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing 68-year-old man Roman Wiacek. Roman was last seen at his home address in Yass Court, Patterson Lakes about 6.30pm last night. Investigators have been told that Roman set off for a 20 minute bike ride but did not return. Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he has only been in the country for six weeks and speaks little English. Roman is described as 175cm tall with a thin build and grey hair.
