THREE 19-year-olds were abused, bashed and robbed as they walked towards the Southland cinemas, 10.45pm, Tuesday 5 July. Police said four men aged in their late teens/early 20s approached the trio from behind and demanded their shoes. When the victims turned around they were punched and kicked to the face and body. Southern Metro Region Crime Team detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary at Langwarrin last week. Three men forced entry to a Warrandyte Road home about 2.30am on Thursday 7 July. The trio have stolen the keys to three cars at the home, however only two were taken. The two vehicles, a white 2012 Holden Cruze with registration 1CV5BM and a white VL Holden Commodore sedan with registration 68324H on heritage plates, were stolen and left the property in different directions. Frankston Embona Armed Robbery Taskforce detectives are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a Supermarket in Carrum Downs on Sunday. It is believed an unknown man attended a store on Frankston – Dandenong Road about 7.10pm. He threatened the attendant with a knife. The man made demands for cash before fleeing the scene on foot. A POD of killer whales has caused excitement among wildlife watchers off Flinders and Phillip Island, although its arrival is probably not so welcome by the inhabitants of Seal Rocks. It is believed Beau is currently in the care of his parents, Dean Lachmund and Brooke Billing, whose whereabouts are unknown. Police have concerns for Beau’s welfare and would like to locate him as soon as possible.
