Missing Persons Squad detectives have charged a second man following the death of Chelsea Heights’ teenager Cayleb Hough. The 27-year-old McKinnon man handed himself into police last night and has been charged with murder. He was remanded into custody and will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this morning. A 28-year-old Kawarren man, charged with murder will also appear at court this morning. The 17-year-old boy’s remains were located in a shallow mineshaft in the Lerderderg State Park in Bacchus Marsh on Thursday 10 March.

Caulfield District Response Unit detectives arrested three people after a firearms warrant was executed in Edithvale Tuesday afternoon (31 May). Police executed the warrant at a residential address in Keith Avenue around 2.50pm yesterday. It is alleged that police found firearms, explosives and cannabis during the search. A 26-year-old South Yarra man was interviewed and released pending further enquires. A 50-year-old Edithvale woman was charged with the possession and use of cannabis. Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing 15-year-old Chloe Hyde. Chloe has been missing from her Frankston residence since May 8 and police have concerns for her due to the length of time she has been missing and her age. Investigators have released an image of Chloe in the hope that someone may recognise her. Chloe is described as Caucasian, medium build, fair complexion with shoulder length brown hair. In September, the Aspendale Gardens resident will blast off to US southern state Alabama for a specialist space camp for blind and vision impaired students just like herself.
