A CORONIAL inquest into the death of a man after an incident at Frankston Bunnings in 2016 has been completed. 31-year-old Anthony Georgiou died on 12 September 2016 after an alleged physical altercation with two security guards at Frankston Bunnings earlier in the day. Last week the coroner handed down a report into his death. A RECENT survey of Frankston residents has revealed that opinions of Frankston Council are improving. The survey of more than 800 people found that around 71 per cent of residents are satisfied overall with the performance of Frankston Council. That statistic is an increase on last year’s figure of 67 per cent. The survey report read that the average satisfaction rate for metropolitan Victorian councils is 66 per cent. The Metropolis Research report read that satisfaction with Frankston Council’s community decisions, advocacy, consultation, and overall leadership had each risen by at least 10 per cent. MPNFL DIVISION ONE FRANKSTON YCW has earned its way into the 2022 grand final with a thrilling win over Bonbeach. The two sides did battle at Olympic Park. THE state government will fund new “urgent care” centres across the state in a bid to ease the pressure on emergency departments. Frankston will host one of 25 new urgent care centres set up across Victoria.
