RESULTS of an investigation into whether Frankston Council’s parking fine appeals process have been mishandled are expected within two weeks. Last month it was revealed that Kingston Council had been caught up in a parking fine fiasco and would have to pay back over $2 million in fines to residents. Kingston had been outsourcing their appeals process for parking fines to an external agency, a process it later stated to be in violation of the Infringements Act 2006. FRANKSTON Council have ticked off on their proposed budget for 2019/2020, projecting a healthy surplus at the end of the financial year and approving a price increase for their bin collection service.
