THE aeroplane used to advertise the Peace Loan arrived in Frankston on Monday afternoon shortly after 3 o’clock. It was advertised to make its appearance in the forenoon, and a good deal of disappointment and inconvenience was occasioned the public, who had assembled at the Old Racecourse paddock at 11 a.m. in anticipation of its arrival at that hour. Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a child in Langwarrin on 2 September. Emergency services were called to an address in Potts Road about 4.10pm after reports that a child was injured. Crews worked on a 2-year-old boy but he could not be revived. A 32-year-old Langwarrin man has been charged with one count of murder. The man will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ court today (4 September). A 34-year-old woman arrested at the scene has been released without charge and is not believed to have been involved in the incident.

Police have arrested a man and a woman following the death of a child in Langwarrin this afternoon. Emergency services were called to an address in Potts Road about 4.10pm after reports that a child was injured. Crews worked on an 18-month-old boy but he could not be revived. AT Thursday’s Council meeting a letter was read from the managing director of the Frankston and District Gas and Electric Supply Co., asking for an extension of time in connection with the electric lighting of the street lamps, and proposing a “round table” conference.
