Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a serious crash which occurred in Frankston last night. Investigators have been told a man attempted to cross Cranbourne Road about 11.10pm. He crossed into the path of a west bound Jeep and was struck by the vehicle. The pedestrian, who is yet to be identified and believed to be in his 20s, was airlifted to hospital suffering life threatening injuries. KINGSTON Council is driving what it believes is an innovative plan to deliver much-needed sports playing fields in the Green Wedge. It is calling on the state government to back acquisition of the 34ha Delta site, at 91-185 Kingston Rd.
