A man has been arrested following a hit-run collision in Seaford early yesterday. An off-duty police officer, cycling to work along Nepean Highway, was located injured on the side of the road about 6am. The 61-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains. It is believed he was struck by a white utility which did not stop to render assistance. Police are investigating a collision in Bonbeach overnight. It is understood a Porsche wagon was travelling along Nepean Highway when it crashed into the fence surrounding a power substation about 2.30am. The male driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital under police guard with serious injuries. It is understood four other occupants of the vehicle fled on foot prior to police arrival. Officers arrested a female, believed to have been a passenger in the Porsche, a short time later. The remaining three occupants remain outstanding. A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in Carrum Downs, 1 July. A car and motorbike collided at the intersection of Frankston-Dandenong Road and Centenary Street just after 5.30pm. The motorcyclist, a 61-year-old man from Carrum Downs, had to be airlifted to hospital for treatment on life-threatening injuries.
