BURGLARS pretending to be workmen and wearing fluoro vests may be casing residential properties before robbing them, Kingston police say. Leading Senior Constable Robyn Ryan said three burglaries on Monday in the Aspendale Gardens – Watergardens areas could be linked to these suspects, who reportedly knock on doors during school hours and, if no one is home, simply walk around the back and force entry. STUDENTS at Frankston High can take a step back in time as they inspect exhibits at the school museum which opened Friday. The 91 year old school in Foot St, but previously in Quality St, celebrated its 90th birthday last year with a big function. Teacher Sue Robinson said the idea for the museum came about as current students “simply had no idea how old we are”. A 15 YEAR OLD Carrum Downs youth has been remanded to the Malmsbury Youth Training Centre for allegedly assaulting a female bottle shop attendant at Seaford on Wednesday night. The youth, who is well known to police, was spotted by the 65-year-old IGA employee allegedly hiding a bottle of alcohol under his coat. Police will allege that, when the woman approached, he allegedly punched and kicked her twice, then struck her head with the bottle, splitting open her eyebrow.
