AN Edithvale man has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury after allegedly stabbing his mother and brother in a domestic dispute on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old snapped after arguing with his mother at their Northcliffe Rd house about his Facebook page at about 6pm.
Kingston police said the man became angry and upset after being told to take down the post and used a small kitchen knife to stab his brother to the left side of the chest, under his heart.
The brother, 20, retreated outside while the offender chased after his mother and allegedly stabbed her in the back.
She attempted to hide in her bedroom while her husband tried in vain to calm the offender, who smashed open the bedroom door during the onslaught.
Police and ambulance crews arrived to find the offender in the backyard near his brother who was lying down and bleeding profusely. He was handcuffed and arrested.
The mother, 52, was described as breathing and conscious but suffering serious stab wounds. The brother sustained life-threatening injuries. They were taken to The Alfred hospital.
The offender has been remanded in custody, with a court and date yet to determined.
