Access cut off to places of public gathering. New rules in place at hospital to restrict visitors.

Key facts from today’s Victorian COVID-19 update:

  • The total number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Victoria is 1,085  – an increase of 49 from yesterday.
  • Yesterday a man in his eighties died in hospital, taking the number of people who have died in Victoria from coronavirus to seven.
  • More than 51,000 tests have been conducted to date.
  • Currently 37 people are in hospital – including seven patients in intensive care – and 476 people have recovered.

Public areas close until ‘further notice’

BOAT ramps, beaches, skate parks, and playgrounds have been closed around Frankston to stop people gathering during the COVID-19 pandemic.
