BASKETBALL “like you’ve never seen before” will take over the Frankston Basketball Stadium this month for the annual Summer Slam tournament held by South Sudanese Australian National Basketball Association (SSANBA).

The tournament not only features amazing sporting ability, raw athleticism and an impressive slam dunk contest, it is also an important cultural event for the Sudanese-Australian community; uniting them through basketball.

The programs run by SSANBA, as well as its partner Helping Hoops, have empowered many Sudanese-Australian youth in Frankston, giving them a sense of purpose and motivation.

The tournament will be held from December 18-20, finishing on a high with finals on the Sunday, at the stadium on Bardia Ave in Seaford.
