Police have arrested 12 men following an alleged affray and stabbing incident outside Kananook Railway Station in Seaford yesterday which has left a man with life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe a brawl took place amongst a crowd of between 80 and 100 people on Wells Road about 5.35pm.
During the affray, a 23-year-old man suffered a number of stab wounds to his abdomen.
The Seabrook man was dropped off at Frankston Hospital by a group of unknown men. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Twelve men have been arrested including a 23-year-old from Sunshine West, a 22-year-old from Carlton, a 25-year-old from Taylors Hill, a 27-year-old from Deer Park, a 21-year-old from Deer Park, a 32-year-old from Truganina, a 21-year-old from Melton, a 21-year-old from Collingwood, a 19-year-old from Dandenong, a 20-year-old from Truganina, a 22-year-old from Ardeer and a 20-year-old from Melton.
All were taken back to Frankston and Mornington police stations where they remain in custody, assisting police with their enquiries.
Police searched three vehicles in relation to the investigation and seized weapons including baseball bats, a samurai sword and a machete.
