CAST members from the Frankston People’s Playhouse Theatre company selected for the Frankston production of Annie received a special masterclass by musical theatre star Michael Cormick on Saturday 21 May.

People’s Playhouse was inundated with children auditioning for the lead roles in Annie, which will be staged during the July school holidays, under director Michelle Thomas.

Cormick, who played Daddy Warbucks in the professional production of Annie that toured Australia in 2012, is known to Australian and international audiences as a consummate singer and actor.

He has been the lead in many musicals and has appeared in several major television productions, including Sea Patrol and City Homicide.
