TWO 17-year-olds walking along Ballarto Rd, Carrum Downs, 9pm, Monday 11 July, ran for it when they were menaced by a man who demanded their mobile phones. The teenagers were passing the McCormicks Rd shops when the man – in
a black Subaru with four others inside – jumped out and demanded the phone. They refused and sprinted off – with the man in hot pursuit – and escaped by jumping a fence.
The offenders face potential attempted robbery charges. They are described as Polynesian. The main offender is late teens-early 20s, 183cm, solid build, wearing a grey hoodie with the word Stussy on the front.
