Prahran Highway Patrol members are appealing for public help following a hit-run involving a pedestrian at Mordialloc overnight.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Boundary and Canterbury roads after a passer-by discovered a man lying on the road about 11.40pm.

It’s believed the man may have been crossing Boundary Road, at the intersection, when struck by a south-bound vehicle shortly before being found.

The man was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening, injuries.

Investigators believe the vehicle involved to be a Nissan Pulsar which will have damage to the front.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
