Detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad have today charged a man following an alleged sexual assault in Seaford earlier this year.
A 25-year-old Eumemmering man has been charged with rape, sexual assault, intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury and common assault.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 25 August.
The charges follow an incident near Seaford North Reserve on 1 April where a 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted.
