A JET ski rider died after falling into the Patterson River, Carrum on Monday 26 February.
Police said a report will be prepared for the coroner after the man’s body was found, 6pm, to try to determine the cause of death.
Emergency services crews responded to the incident and recovered the body.
The Coast Guard later pulled a jet ski from the river.
