AN unknown young man found sitting on the floor of a Parkdale business was asked to leave by suspicious staff after he told them he was “looking for his cat”, 3.30pm, Monday 5 March.
The man, described as “slightly Asian-looking” and skinny, with short black hair, was wearing dark-coloured jeans and a grey anorak. When challenged he ran across Como Parade towards Parkdale train station with three shop staff in pursuit. They later found he had rifled their handbags and stolen almost $300.
