A MAN who agreed to meet someone to buy two iPhones in Mordialloc was assaulted and nearly robbed by two offenders.
The buyer went to a Barkley Street address in Mordialloc where a silver Holden Commodore was parked in the driveway.
A man indicated the iPhones were in the house and led the buyer up the driveway where a second man with a large stick threatened the victim and demanded cash.
A car alarm set off nearby startled the attackers who jumped into the Commodore and drove off.
Police are appealing for any witnesses.
