FRANKSTON Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a suspicious fire in Frankston last month.

The fire was at the rear of some shops on Horne Street near Beach Street on 23 September at 4.30am.

Emergency services were notified of the fire by staff from a nearby bakery who smelt and observed a large amount of smoke.

The fire caused minor damage to a loading dock before it was extinguished by fire fighters.

No one was injured in the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.

Detectives have released images of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

No other properties were damaged during the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
