KINGSTON’S annual Pet Expo will return this weekend, offering a range of services and activities for pet owners to enjoy.

The mayor Georgina Oxley said “ the Pet Expo is a fun, and cheap, day out for the whole family where animals get to take centre stage.”

“With obstacle courses, demonstrations pet-look-alike competitions and a petting zoo, Kingston’s Pet Expo is a terrific way to promote responsible pet ownership and to celebrate our love for animals and pets within the community,” she said.

“Animal enthusiasts, pet owners and their four-legged friends are all invited to Kingston Council’s annual Pet Expo at Kingston Heath Reserve.”

Services available at the expo include pet registration.

Activities on the day will include face painting, pony rides, a puppy cafe, guide dog demonstrations, a petting zoo, a dog look alike contest and more.

Council’s animal management officer Karen Crowther said “we absolutely love working at this event. We’re too busy working to bring along our beloved pets, but we have so much fun meeting pets and owners from across the city and south east Melbourne.”

The event will run from 10am – 3pm on Saturday 30 March at Kingston Heath Reserve in Cheltenham. All dogs must be on a leash.
