Five men have been arrested after warrants were executed in Carrum this morning as part of Operation Elmo, targeting crime and drug-related crime in the area.

Caulfield Divisional Response Unit with the assistance of Frontline Tasking Unit and local officers executed warrants at two houses in Valetta Street and one property in Stanley Street just before 8.30am.

Drugs, believed to be methamphetamine, cannabis and stolen property including power tools and bicycles were seized.

As a result of today’s operation –

  • A 43-year-old Albury man has been charged with possessing methamphetamine and cannabis. He was bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 16 January.
  • A 35-year-old Carrum man has been charged with possessing methamphetamine and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail. He will appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court today.
  • A 54-year-old Carrum man has been charged with possessing methamphetamine and handling stolen goods. He was bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates Court on 16 January.
  • Two Carrum men aged 58 and 75, were both interviewed and released pending further enquiries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
