A MAN from Chelsea has died after a car crash in Mount Martha, Sunday 11 August.

The 60-year-old man is believed to have been driving on The Esplanade when his car left the road and hit a power pole, around 3.15pm. He was treated at the scene but died.

An 8-year-old passenger in the car was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The death takes the state’s road toll to 182 this year, up from 121 at the same time last year.
