A LEARNER motorcycle rider caught driving nearly 60kmph over the speed limit on the Dingley Bypass has had his bike suspended.

The 19-year-old Clayton South driver was detected speeding by Moorabbin Highway Patrol members in Heatherton. He was clocked travelling at 139kmph in an 80 zone at around 11.10pm, 28 August.

Officers administered a breath test and the teenager returned a reading of 0.085.

His bike was suspended for 30 days, and the man is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and speeding offences.
