POLICE operation ARGUS, which ran until 1 September, saw 4577 breath tests administered to drivers in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula areas.

The four day operation saw eleven drink drivers caught. 14 drug drivers were detected from 228 tests administered.

Police detected 289 other offences including speeding and mobile phone use. An Uber driver found themselves in trouble when they ran a red light at the intersection of Cranbourne Road and Beach Street and hit another car.
