KINGSTON CIU detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary that occurred in Chelsea last month.

Police believe that a person entered a home on Swan Walk and stole car keys and a vehicle sometime between 11pm on 13 September and 3pm on 14 September.

The stolen car was a red Holden commodore sedan.

A woman was home asleep at the time, but was not injured and was not aware that the burglary had happened until she woke up.

An image of the allegedly stolen car, with false registration plates, and a man police wish to speak to have been released. The man has distinct tattoos and was seen on 19 September at a car wash in Casey.

Police are appealing for assistance to help with their investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
