TWO men have been arrested in Bangholme after allegedly stealing a food delivery van.

The duo was arrested on 25 February. They are alleged to have stolen the van from a Narre Warren shopping centre at around 8.30am that morning. The van was parked and had been left running.

The alleged offenders dumped the van on Bangholme Road at 9.30am, and fled from the scene on foot. Police chased them down and arrested them with help from the K9 unit and air wing.

A 21-year-old Chirnside Park man and a 31-year-old Keysborough man are in custody. A firearm was allegedly recovered from the scene.
