FRANKSTON Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged eleven people after an operation targeting people stealing from cars around Frank Street, Frankston.

The operation ran during April and May. There have been eleven arrests made, with charges laid including burglary, theft from motor vehicle, cultivate cannabis, traffick drug of dependence, firearms/weapons offences, handle stolen goods, breach intervention order, reckless conduct, evade police, and commit indictable offence on bail.

Eight alleged offenders remain in police custody.

Police also handed out eleven infringement notices for not complying with COVID-19 restrictions.

Frankston Police senior constable Travis Woolnough said “good results like this come about through police and the public working together.  We encourage anyone with information on criminal activity to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.”
