Man arrested following Seaford crime spree

Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man in relation to a series of alleged offending across Seaford this week.

The man, of no fixed address, was interviewed in relation to a number of home invasions and thefts across Melbourne’s south.

The alleged incidents occurred in the early hours of 2 June:

  • Aggravated burglary- Frankston Dandenong Road, Seaford
  • Attempted aggravated burglary- Frankston Dandenong Road, Seaford
  • Theft from motor vehicle- Frankston Dandenong Road, Seaford
  • Burglary- Frankston Dandenong Road, Seaford
  • Theft- Frankston Dandenong Road, Seaford
  • Burglary- Frankston Dandenong Road, Seaford
  • Theft from motor vehicle- Frankston Dandenong Road, Seaford
  • Attempted theft from motor vehicle- Frankston Dandenong Road, Seaford
  • Attempted theft from motor vehicle- Frankston Dandenong Road, Seaford
  • Burglary- Hadley Street, Seaford
  • Burglary- Hadley Street, Seaford
  • Theft from motor vehicle- Braemar Street, Seaford
  • Attempted theft from motor vehicle- Braemar Street, Seaford
  • Burglary- Lorna Street, Seaford
  • Obtain Property by Deception – Frankston Dandenong Road, Seaford

Police arrested the man around midnight and uncovered what is believed to be stolen bank cards and a laptop at a hotel room in Frankston about 4am.

The 28-year-old man has since been charged with 38 offences including aggravated burglary, burglary, theft, theft from motor vehicle and handle stolen goods.

He was remanded to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court later today.
