A FRANKSTON man returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.277 after being pulled over on the Nepean Highway last week.

Police sitting in an unmarked car at Bunnings Mornington spotted a Mazda 2 driving erratically at around 11.40am on 8 July, and pulled the car over. The driver, a 45-year-old man, failed his roadside breath test.

The man blew 0.277 on his breath test at the police station. He was charged with drink driving and unlicensed driving, and was bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court in February 2021.

Police wish to speak to someone who may have witnessed the incident. They are calling for a woman driving a silver or white 4 wheel drive that may have been overtaken by the man to come forward.
