A STRIKING display of a Frankston pianist performing is on show at the Frankston Arts Centre.

Andrew Farrell first started playing on a pianola gifted to him by his grandparents. He went on to study classical piano, and has been performing ever since.

A shot of Mr Farrell playing has been included in the Life is Music photo exhibition at the Frankston Arts Centre.

The exhibition features photographs taken between 2017 and 2019 of performers playing at Frankston Music Festival events. Festival past director Robert Thurley said “there are some iconic pictures and they draw the energy that was on display. There were memorable performances. We can enjoy the great moments of the festival in these photographs.”

Mr Farrell said “I love performing for people and meeting new people. I’m excited every time I’m off to a gig. I can’t wait to get to the next gig. You let your hands go on the piano. I am singing as well and it all comes out.”

The exhibition has moved online due to COVID-19. For more information visit www.thefac.com.au or phone 9784 1060.
