LOCAL businesses are being encouraged to take their services outdoors coming into summer.
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a bigger push towards outdoor dining and activities. Multiple outdoor sites owned by Frankston Council are available to be used for business in the next year.
Twelve month licences are available now for the use of Foreshore Reserve, Ballam Park, Beauty Park, Station Street Mall, Clyde Street Mall, Sandfield Reserve, Southgateway Reserve and Lyrebird Community Centre car park.
Frankston councillor Suzette Tayler said “when lockdowns are a thing of the past, the community will be ready to get out and about and experience some wonderful outdoor activities again.”
“We want to create energetic, magnetic locations for our community to enjoy and what better locations than our public open spaces,” she said.
