Police responded to reports of alleged hoon driving in Seaford last night.
It was reported up to 10 vehicles were engaging in alleged illegal hoon driving in the vicinity of Brunel Road and Pascal Road about 10.30pm.
Officers observed a white Holden Commodore utility, driven by a 25-year-old Noble Park man, lost traction on Brunel Road.
The vehicle hit a curb and as a result, the rear tyres blew out.
The driver was spoken to by police and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1390
He is expected to be charged on summons with improper use of motor vehicle and intentionally cause loss of traction.
