A CHELSEA Heights man was among those injured when a car slammed into the back of an emergency response truck on Eastlink last week.
An emergency response car was attending to a car with a flat tyre in Boronia, around 3.30pm on 10 November. The cars were in the emergency lane, with the occupants of the broken down vehicle standing on the side of the road.
A white Ford wagon is alleged to have smashed into the back of the emergency response vehicle. The emergency response truck was moved in the collision, and struck a 56-year-old Clyde North man and a 65-year-old Chelsea Heights man changing the flat tyre.
A rear seat passenger in the Ford was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford and two other passengers were also taken to hospital.
