A POPULAR children’s book by a Frankston South author has been relaunched just in time for Christmas.

Australian Bush Creatures by Myke Mollard is in print in hardback for the first time in a decade. The author and illustrator says that the book calls on kids to experience and discover nature. “For me kid’s books on wildlife are about engaging kids to go out into the bush and explore. This book is a visual treasure trove of animals designed to be a journey through the Australian bush,” he said.

“I hand draw everything and colour it in the computer to demonstrate that my art is employing the best of both worlds. Mum’s and Dads can relate and this infusion is to engage the kids and in a way create superheroes from the naturalistic portraits of these Australian Bush creatures.”

The book sold more than 80,000 copies between 2008 and 2015. The book is available from book stores or online at woodslane.com.au
