AN underground lights show is one of the highlights of the South Side Festival calendar.

The South Side Festival begins in Frankston this week. As part of the festival the “Frankston Generator” experience has been set up at the underground car park at Frankston Arts Centre.

The lights show features more than a thousand lighting fixtures, as well as music, a wind tunnel, and interactive screens.

Frankston mayor Nathan Conroy said that the festival would bring “a wide array of contemporary multi arts ranging from theatre, live music, visual arts exhibitions, immersive experiences, installations, workshops, markets and everything in between.”

“South Side Festival has partnered with many wonderful local venues, community groups, and artists from across the state and nationally to bring you an artistic program of sensory experiences unlike any you have found in Frankston before,” he said.

South Side Festival runs across Frankston between 6 May and 15 May.
