A MORDIALLOC life saver was among the winners at the Victorian Sports Awards earlier this month.

Mordialloc Life Saving Club member Samanatha Barrow won the coveted Involve Masters Athlete of the Year award.

Barrow had a big year in 2021. At last year’s Victorian Masters Championships she finished first in the 45-49 years women’s two kilometre run, beach flags, and beach sprint events. She went on to win silver and bronze at the national championships.

A panel of 30 Victorian sportspeople chose the winners of the awards.
