A NEW cafe in the infamous Frankston Yacht Club building is now serving customers.
Oliver’s Corner opened for business last week. The cafe occupies the bottom floor of the Yacht Club building.
Frankston Council announced that it had leased out the bottom floor to the owners of Oliver’s Corner in late 2020. It is currently seeking a tenant for the top floor of the building, and is in the process of assessing expression of interest applications.
The Frankston Yacht Club building has proved a costly endeavour for council since it opened in 2016. Frankston ratepayers have spent more than $11 million on the building, which has often sat empty since construction was completed.
Oliver’s Corner is open 11am to sunset on weekdays and 8am to sunset on weekends.
