Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate and appeal for public assistance after a man armed with a firearm robbed a supermarket in Carrum Downs in 2020.

Police have been told a man entered the store on Frankston-Dandenong Road and was seen loitering around before leaving about 12.30pm on Tuesday 15 September.

The store attendant was outside the supermarket when it is believed the same male armed with a firearm approached him.

The offender handed the attendant a bag and demanded he fill it with cash.

He then followed the victim to the register and ran from the scene with the bag of cash.

No one was injured.

The offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s and was wearing a black face mask and orange high vis top.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information or any witnesses are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
