A MAN has been caught allegedly driving more than three and a half times over the legal blood alcohol limit in Carrum Downs.

Police pulled the driver over on 3 June. They allege that he crashed his boss’s car into a metal barrier after failing to turn right onto Thompsons Road near Eastlink.

The man blew more than three times over the legal limit when asked to take a breath test, police say.

The scene was attended by police, firefighters, and paramedics.

The driver, a 37-year-old man from Blackburn North, had his license suspended for a year. Police say he will face court on charges of drink-driving and careless driving.
